HOTEL INFORMATION

Budget

Los Amigos Backpackers Hostel - Very central location, beds available for less than €20. Breakfast is offered. There is a lounge area, a kitchen in which you are able to cook your own food. The beds are clean, comfortable, and the staff is friendly.
 
Nebrija Granted, there are no services or extra amenities, and everyone has to share a bathroom. All rooms are larger than the Madrid average and large antique wood vanities lend space for toiletry bags or doc kits. Religious Baroque-like art hangs on the walls. Wood floors are original, as is the molding on the high ceiling. From €29

Hostal Numancia has 9 rooms all recently renovated, clean and comfortable, with sink/wash-basin, heat, hardwood floors and shared bathrooms (1 bathroom for 3 rooms). The Hostal is run by a young couple who speak several languages. There are several car parks near the hotel so that parking in Madrid will not be a problem. From €22

La DolceVita is located on the third floor of a very beautiful, historic building. There are 17 rooms and 40 beds altogether. As a guest, you will therefore have a choice between individual rooms and rooms for two, three and four people. The staff speaks English, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Bulgarian. From  €22.
Hostal Las Brisas The hostel offers rooms for 1, 2 or 3 people and double rooms with one or two beds. Amenities include private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, telephone, TV and a 24 Hours Reception. From €45 per night.

Hostales Victoria I y II  are on the 2nd floor of the same building as Numancia. They offer good value in their price range, and friendly service with a family atmosphere. From €35.
Colors Hotel The feel of Colors Hostal directly reflects the owner's excited spirit. Colors is a favorite in a city known for its reasonable rates and guest services. There's even a mini-fridge in each room so guests can take midnight snacks into their rooms. From €50 for single rooms.

Francisco I The attractive hotel provides culturally interested visitors with the ideal starting point when staying in the world famous city of Madrid. Extensively renovated in 2003 this hotel is seen in a new light. It comprises a total of 58 elegant rooms set out over 3 floors. Guests are offered a lobby with lifts. In addition, a laundry service is provided on request.

Mid-range

Hotel Trafalgar Staying here is a much more authentically Madrid experience. The hotel itself is modern and comfortable with good-sized rooms that have all the mod-cons - in-room movies, Internet and good bathrooms. The shiny wooden floors are a plus, although the color scheme is rather anonymous. Rooms facing onto the street are the best. From $67 onward.

Hotel El Prado This hotel offers style and service beyond its modest three-star category. Rooms are decorated with an attractive grape motif. Each floor is dedicated to the different regions of Spain and each room is dedicated to a different type of grape. From $91.
